Trainer Bios

Chris Browning is recognized by industry colleagues, coaches, sports agents, and athletes as a preferred sports performance trainer and general fitness coach.

 

Since 2004 Chris has been training, teaching, and volunteering his strength and conditioning skills to various clients across the Chicagoland area.In 2007 Chris founded ProForce Sports Performance Training in Batavia, IL. As a graduate of Batavia High School’s class of 1998, Chris insisted on bringing his wife Jami and two kids (Ella and Max) back to the Tri Cities to continue supporting the community where his success began.

After a successful college football career at Western Michigan University, Chris graduated and was privileged to play in NFL mini camps and the AFL (American Football League) for 5 seasons. Upon retirement, Chris was not ready to leave the sports world behind and easilyapplied his passion, knowledge, and experiencesto athletes seeking substantial mental and physical edge against their competition.

Chris’ hard work has earned him more success than he could have anticipated. As a trainer and coach, Chris has helped hundreds of athletes reach their full potential. Whether that means getting drafted to play professionally, earning a full ride scholarship or just the opportunity tobe part of a team, Chris understandsthe diversity of success. Some of the biggest accomplishments on Chris Browning’s resume come in the form of mentor and teacher. To date Chris has guided several former ProForce clients and trainers through the strength and conditioning industry to help them chase career dreams. Andrew Otwell is the strength and conditioning coach for UNC Greensboro, Rob Currie is the head trainer at ForceElite, Joe Servais is owner of Servais Sports Performance, Bryce Biel is owner of Legacy Performance, and many more! Chris has played an essential part in each of his students’ achievements and plans to continue educating as he trains. Chris holds numerous certifications in both strength and conditioning and speed and agility. He has over 10 years and thousands of hours of practical training experience.

Devon Williams was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. He attended Morgan Park High school where he was a three 3 sport athlete in Football, Track and Bowling.

From 07-11 Devon won city championships in both Football and Bowling. He was a very talented and explosive football player which opened many doors for him on and off the field for many years dating back to his 6th grade year where he was ranked amongst the top football players and track sprinters throughout the city of Chicago ever since. Tearing his ACL’s his senior year of high school cut his high school career shorter than expected after being in the newspaper for the first three weeks of the season for playing at an elite level against Illinois top teams led him to have a promising future. Tearing his ACL’s didn’t stop the Englewood native from being successful and accomplishing his goals. He went to attend Northern Illinois University for 2 years where he rehabbed with a Kinesiologist. After two years of rehab, he was cleared to play football again by doctors and physical therapists. He then accepted a scholarship from Lindenwood-Belleville University to play football again. He played running back, led his team in TD’s his senior season, finished top 3 strongest on bench press. Not only did he play 4 more years of football but during that time he also changed the community of the university as he took on important leadership roles as well. Devon received his certifications in CPR, Group Mentoring and NIH (National Institutes of Health). He completed 2 internships at Metro East Cross-Fit gym and Athletico Physical Therapy Office. He was able to grasp three years of personal training experience and working in the medical field as a therapy aide. Tragic injuries inspired Devon to the field of Medical/Health and it turned into blessing for others. It equipped him with the ability to train and rehabilitate clients at high levels over the last three years such as: collegiate basketball players, professional basketball players, and a national champion, 4x All-American and Team USA woman’s wrestler. Overall, what allows Devon to be successful as a sports performance trainer is his passion to want to change others lives for the better. Other than his ability to promote health and wellness to those who are obese, pregnant, or a diabetic, properly test individual’s fitness levels, train specific populations, rehabilitate, prevent injuries, provide nutrition guidance, and enhance sports performance! He has thoroughly studied the science behind the mechanics of different movements during exercise. In which, he is equipped with a creative skill set to generate fitness and nutrition programs with proper progressions and teach/correct exercises in order to gain the greatest performance out of each individual muscle groups.
