Healthy eating habits are an essential part of overall development. Consuming proper nutrients will increase levels of performance during training and provide the body with premium fuel for proper muscle recovery and growth. An appropriate diet has the largest impact on meeting goals of weight loss/gain and increases/decreases in body fat percentage.
ProForce teaches the importance of a healthy diet and helps each individual find a nutrition plan that supports his/her goals.
Bottom line… a balanced diet will elevate your game versus competition and keep you focused in the classroom.

- When you make food….make A LOT! Leftovers are a healthy and easy way to prepare a meal at home or on the go. Buying in bulk will assist you in preparing massive amounts of food and we all know you save when you buy in larger quantities. Soups, stir-fry, and crock-pot meals are all solid choices….and don’t be afraid to use the freezer!
- It’s ok to buy frozen or canned vegetables. They are still nutritious! Not only are frozen and canned vegetables cheaper, they last longer. We waste good food and money when time gets the best of our fresh produce. Understandably…they do not taste as good, but get creative and make it tasty!
- Stop eating out and prepare your meals. Athletes, we do not allow you to be lazy at ProForce, do not be lazy at home! Pack your own lunch. It is your responsibility, not your parents, to prepare yourself for the day. The school cafeteria is not as healthy and costs more money. Be smart and pack a nutritious lunch filled with fruit, vegetables, and a healthy balance of good carbs and proteins. Also remember to pack yourself enough healthy snacks to reach proper calorie intake!
- Stop buying food you do not need! Junk food (greasy chips, cookies, pop, candy, etc.) is neither cheap nor good for you…so why buy it? Experiment with healthy food in order to find an alternative for your sweet tooth.
- Drink more WATER. Not only can this habit save you money, it’s extremely valuable to your health and training. Put down the pop and sugar juices! Drink water, water, and more water.
